License Purchase

The license purchase process is straightforward and secure, handled through Stripe's trusted payment infrastructure. This guide walks you through purchasing your license and understanding what happens next.

Accessing the Purchase Process​

From the Dashboard Settings​

  1. Navigate to Settings (/dashboard/settings)
  2. Scroll to the Billing Information section
  3. Look for the license purchase button

Purchase Button States​

Your billing section will show one of two options based on your current license status:

🆕 Unlicensed (New Account)​

[Purchase Subscription and License]

This button appears when you haven't purchased a license yet.

✅ Licensed (Active Account)​

[Manage Subscription]

The button text changes to this for existing licensed accounts to manage billing.

The Purchase Flow​

Step 1: Initiate Purchase​

Click the "Purchase Subscription and License" button to begin the secure checkout process.

Step 2: Stripe Checkout​

You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure checkout page where you can:

  • Review your subscription details
  • Enter payment information
  • Confirm billing address
  • Complete the transaction

Step 3: Automatic Redirect​

After successful payment, you'll be automatically redirected back to your Noted dashboard with full access enabled.

What You're Purchasing​

Base Subscription Details​

  • Monthly Cost: $300/month
  • Included Seats: Up to 12 admin/nurse accounts
  • Additional Seats: $25/month each
  • Billing Cycle: Monthly recurring

Immediate Access​

Upon successful purchase, you immediately gain:

  • Full dashboard navigation - All locked features become available
  • User management - Add and manage nurses and administrators
  • Patient records - Create and manage patient information
  • Clinical documentation - Access AI-assisted note generation
  • Complete platform features - Everything Noted offers

Billing Information Display​

After purchase, your Settings page will show comprehensive billing information:

Understanding Prorated Billing​

Mid-Cycle Additions​

When you add new nurses during a billing cycle:

  • Prorated charges apply based on remaining days
  • Automatic calculation handles the math
  • Transparent billing shows exact costs

Example Scenario​

If you add a nurse halfway through your billing period:

  • Full seat cost: $25/month
  • Remaining days: 15 days
  • Prorated charge: ~$12.50

Subscription Management​

Portal Access​

The "Manage Subscription" button provides access to:

  • Payment method updates
  • Billing history review
  • Invoice downloads
  • Subscription modifications

What You Can Manage​

Through the Stripe portal:

  • Update credit card information
  • View detailed billing history
  • Download invoices for accounting
  • Modify subscription settings (with limitations)
Important Notes
  • Seat changes (adding/removing nurses) are managed within the Noted dashboard, not the billing portal
  • Cancellations should be coordinated with Noted support to ensure proper data handling
  • Billing issues can be resolved through the portal or by contacting support

After Purchase​

Once your license is active, you can:

  1. Explore full navigation - All dashboard sections are now available
  2. Add team members - Begin inviting nurses to your platform
  3. Create patient records - Start building your patient database
  4. Generate documentation - Use AI-assisted note creation

Troubleshooting​

Payment Issues​

  • Declined cards: Check with your bank for authorization
  • Billing address: Ensure address matches your card
  • International cards: Some restrictions may apply

Post-Purchase Problems​

  • Access not updated: Try refreshing the page or logging out/in
  • Features still locked: Contact support if issues persist
  • Billing questions: Use the Stripe portal or contact support

Your payment information is:
