Patient Management

Patient management is the foundation of your healthcare organization's care delivery. As an administrator, you have complete control over patient records, care assignments, and treatment planning.

Patients Section Overview​

Navigate to Patients in your dashboard sidebar to access patient management tools:

Search Patients Tab​

  • ðŸ‘Ī Find existing patients by name
  • 🔒 Privacy-protected search with exact name matching
  • 🏷ïļ Filter by nurse assignments and care status

Create Patient Tab​

  • ðŸ‘Ī Add new patients to your organization
  • 📋 Complete registration with demographics and care details
  • ðŸ‘Đ‍⚕ïļ Immediate nurse assignment capabilities

Creating New Patients​

  1. 🔗 Navigate to Patients Section: Click Patients in the sidebar
  2. 📝 Select Create Patient Tab: Switch to the patient creation interface
  3. 📋 Complete Patient Information: Fill in required demographic and care details
  4. ðŸ‘Đ‍⚕ïļ Assign Primary Nurse: Select the main caregiver for this patient
  5. ðŸ’ū Save Patient Record: Submit the completed form
Privacy Protection

🔐 Patient information is encrypted and protected according to HIPAA requirements. Only authorized team members can access patient records.

Searching and Finding Patients​

  • ðŸ‘Ī First Name: Enter patient's first name (exact matching required)
  • ðŸ‘Ī Last Name: Enter patient's last name (exact matching required)
  • 📊 Order By: Sort by "Created" (newest/oldest first) or "Last Monthly Talk" (most/least recent)
Privacy Notice

🔒 Due to patient privacy protection, patient names must match exactly as recorded.

Each patient shows:

  • ðŸĨ Service type and last monthly talk
  • 👁ïļ View button for profile access

Click View on any patient to access their profile:

Patient Goals, Services & Diagnoses (Tabbed Section)​

Goals Tab​

  • 📝 Add patient goals that can be referenced in notes
  • 📈 Treatment objectives and progress tracking

Services Tab​

Add services rendered for the patient and AI reference.

Nurse Assignment Management​

Managing Assignments​

Adding Nurse Assignments

  1. ðŸ‘Ī Access patient profile and select Assigned Nurses tab
  2. ðŸ‘Đ‍⚕ïļ Choose nurse from your approved team
  3. ⚡ Nurse immediately gains patient access

Removing Assignments

  1. 🗑ïļ Select nurse to remove from assignment list
  2. ⚡ Nurse immediately loses patient access
  3. ✅ Ensure patient has appropriate coverage
Assignment Security

🔐 Nurse assignments are immediately enforced. When you assign a nurse to a patient, they gain instant access to that patient's records.

Common Issues

  • ✅ Ensure nurses are properly assigned to patients
  • 🔍 Verify patient status allows care access
  • 🔄 Update assignments and refresh nurse access

📝 Data Entry Issues

  • ✅ Complete all mandatory information fields
  • 🔍 Verify patient isn't already in system
  • ✅ Confirm patient details are accurate
